Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing recreational activities for residents in a nursing home or memory care facility.
- Provide care and support to seniors, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Engage residents in social activities and promote social interaction among residents.
- Help residents with memory care needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and stimulating environment for residents.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with seniors is preferred.
- Knowledge of schedule management and the ability to coordinate activities effectively.
- Familiarity with senior care practices, including memory care and dementia care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
