#### Primary Responsibilities
The Procurement Assistant is responsible for negotiating purchases, and providing supplier agreement and internal customer management to deliver financial savings and procurement process improvements.
#### Reporting to
Procurement Manager in US
#### Specific responsibilities
Manage procurement activities to the management of agreements and suppliers for a defined set of strategic categories.
Review requisitions and generate purchase orders
Follow up back orders; expedite with company any special arrangements for delivery; communicate to department the expected delivery date.
Responsible for the maintenance of purchasing records (e.g., contract information, supplier performance)
Liase with the A/P department in regards to invoices, supplier holds, cost discrepancies
Maintain clear documentation and audit trail of procurement activities
Work with Procurement Manager and other internal customers to ensure Service Level Commitments are met.
Act as Pcard administrator, which includes pcard policy compliance and reporting.
Daily manage travel program. Tracking of compliance, reporting and problem resolution

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, consulting).
Excellent customer service, client support, and business services consulting skills.
Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Proven negotiation skills. Procurement knowledge sufficient to produce best product at lowest cost in acceptable time frames.
Knowledge of quality and performance measurement including metrics definition, data gathering, and reporting
Knowledge of continuous improvement including identification and implementation
Knowledge of policy and procedure management including development
Knowledge of change management (e.g., policy changes)
Education: High School Diploma Required or Bachelor Degree preferred.
Work
Experience: 1 to 2 years' business experience
Proficiency: Oracle 11i or 12 - preferred
MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Web based communication tools

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
