We are seeking an Information Technology Business Analyst to work closely with internal and external customers to identify and develop information systems solutions. Primary responsibilities will be to capture complex business processes into written requirements specifications, and work with development teams to design, test and implement IT solutions.
#### Reporting to
IT Application Director; also reports to Project Manager of each assignment.
#### Specific responsibilities
Consults with customer and internal teams to document and clarify project requirements and scope.
Responsible for assessing and documenting business requirements.
Document business process models and optimize for automated systems.
Works with users to understand complex problems and identify solutions using existing or new system features.
Works closely with technical team to clarify business requirements to ensure accurate system design and implementation.
Participate in full software development life cycle from requirements definition through implementation and production support.
#### Profile
3 - 5 years experience as business analyst working on medium to high complexity IT projects.
Experience eliciting user requirements.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively and facilitate requirements gathering sessions.
Experience as a liaison between business and technical teams.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Travel is required.
#### Skills
Proven experience documenting business requirements, business rule definition and process mapping.
Proven experience documenting functional and non functional requirements.
Understanding of technical application design, including relational databases, logical data modeling, system integration, basic SQL etc.
Knowledge of software development life cycle process.
Project management experience a plus.
Experience with report writing tools a plus.
Ability to work independently as required.
Proficient in office productivity software, Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, etc.
