Summary:
The Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory at Cancer Genetics, Inc. performs cutting edge molecular diagnostics for hematological malignancy and solid tumors using state-of-the-art molecular techniques. Under supervision, the Molecular Technologist prepares specimens for testing, performs clinical molecular testing, and analyzes and interprets test results. Experience with NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) and other molecular testing methods required. Must have good organizational and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-based environment.

Salary: Compensation based on experience; participation in company stock option plan available
Responsibilities:
Prepare specimens for molecular testing
Perform clinical molecular tests for solid tumors and hematological malignance using various techniques, including but not limited to NGS (Next Generation Sequencing), PCR, Real time PCR, Sanger sequencing, and capillary fragment analysis
Perform data analysis, interpret test results, and generate case reports for final review
Assist with validation process for new clinical assays
Write protocols
Maintain complete and accurate records
Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and reagent quality control procedures
Provide technical training to new lab employees in performing assays, etc.
Present progress summaries to Management Team
Assist with Quality Control management
Provide technical support in troubleshooting
Other duties at the companys discretion
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Biology or related field
Minimum 2-3 years NGS experience, preferably in a clinical molecular biology laboratory
Experience in molecular biology techniques
Good work ethic with the ability to complete work accurately and timely with general direction
Good professional communication skills, both verbal and written
Must possess a high degree of professional judgment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Computer and systems proficiency, specifically with MS Office systems, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as laboratory management systems

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
