Job Summary:
The Technical and Accreditation Manager will work to support growth development objectives for ANAB as an SGS applied accreditation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high level relationship with Accreditation Body (ANAB), ensuring clear understanding and appreciation of SGS local and global structure, strategy and diversity of activities and establishing their confidence in SGS integrity and innovative solutions.
  • Work constructively in cooperation with the AB and Global Team to ensure a cost effective AB audit program and resolution of issues, sharing wherever possible reports and information from other SGS Global Accreditation Bodies.
  • Maintain and extend required accreditation and scopes as agreed in cooperation with the Global Team and as required locally.
  • Leadership of NAM technical and accreditation functions to ensure the quality of the service delivered meets specified business and requirements. Management includes the achievement of all associated technical KPI's and accreditation requirements.
  • Work proactively with the NAM Business Teams to support development of enhanced customer services, anticipating and working to resolve potential conflicts to certification impartiality.
  • Participate as a member of the Global Technical Management Group in definition of accreditation strategies, policies and internal systems.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with the AB at the appropriate level to serve local issues and requirements and SGS Global profile and relationship, including periodic review meetings with the AB, promoting the understanding and recognition by the AB of the Global Business structure of SGS CBE to ensure the delivery of the appropriate accreditation approach.
  • Ongoing review, negotiation, interpretation and implementation of AB specific requirements through the SGS CBE Global Systems and that stage three accreditation is maintained as well as maintaining local accreditation.
  • Negotiate with the AB the ongoing Accreditation Audit program, in liaison with Global Team to coordinate with other accreditation activities so as to minimize disruption and cost whilst enabling expected coverage of all accredited scopes.
  • Participate as required in external technical committees and interest groups, promoting the SGS preferred position.
  • Maintain awareness of and feed into the Global Team direction related AB, relevant market or technical sector trends and activities which may impact on SGS CBE business to ensure timely adaption of systems and activities.
  • Lead and direct CBE NAM Technical Management group including, management of technical functions and staff, duties, and maintenance of competencies, and auditor training.
  • Completing Audit Package Reviews when necessary and making certification decisions with the appropriate sector schemes.
  • Handle and resolve any stakeholder complaints and or queries (stakeholders include clients, their customers / users, Accreditation Bodies, Scheme Owners etc.) Support the marketing, sales and operational functions to ensure cohesive approach and commercial success, as well as targeted growth rates are achieved.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Development of Product Managers with the objective of supporting and training them to be effective managers, decision makers and problem solvers in the day to day activities.
  • Working with the relevant Technical managers to train and develop all local auditors to ensure the highest possible on-site performance.
  • Continually review and seek to improve technical and support processes in CBE NAM in support of business objectives.
  • Ensure continued compliance through support and cooperation with all business functions and implementation of level 1 and 2 audits and corrective action implemented where necessary.
  • Preparation, reporting and monitoring of monthly activities in line with company reporting format and schedules.
  • Carry out annual management review, advisory board meetings and report such to the CBE NAM Management and Global Team.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with Operations, Sales and other core functions to ensure provision of highest quality customer solutions while meeting budgetary requirements.

Education, Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Graduate level of studies or equivalent in commercial or technical discipline, and proven management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in audit and certification business with both technical and commercial responsibilities with direct experience of dealing with an Accreditation Body,
  • Experience supporting service delivery in a network organization.
  • Experience in implementation of new or significant changes to systems and practices.
  • Exposure to standards making structures and organisations.
  • Experience in assurance services in the area of sustainability, aerospace, food safety or security would be an asset.
  • Ideally, registered Lead auditor for ISO 9001 or another international standard through a recognized scheme (e.g. IRCA, RABQSA).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
